In our article written last year October 6, 2012, titled “Tax me again an again” , we wrote about the current state of the United States Tax system and where the money was going.   One particular part was the dire situation relating to

where the money was going and the trend of these new and continually growing entitlements.

We proposed several solutions at that time, of course nothing has happened in one year.

1) Get people back to work, 2) Stop corporate bail out and incentives, 3) Everyone should pay taxes, 4) Reduce our spending in ALL categories, 5) Get our entitlements under control.

Ok, people will say, hey we reduced our spending that’s what Sequestration was all about… er, ah, well actually no.  Sequestrations was the measly reduction of $85 Billion out of projected $185Billion increase in next years budget.  It’s not actually cutting any spending, it’s cutting…

When an entire sentence ends with the words “shall not be infringed”, you’d think that was pretty clear.  Apparently to some in our government it means maybe they should and can infringe.  Really?

What does “shall not be infringed” mean to you?

Now what is being infringed?  “A regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”   This is the version which is ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State.  There is secondary version which is ratified by Congress, it introduces a couple changes: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  This calls out a “Militia” as a specific organization and separated that from “the people”, “shall not be…

Why is it we watch good intentions be turned into law, create a government agency/department and then several years later learn they are overspending, fraught with fraud and yet instead of fixing it, we create yet another area of government to do the things that the first area can’t accomplish.  The reality is, if this government were any company or not for profit, it would have been gone from existence long ago.  But why hasn’t it?  Because it’s propped up on the backs of tax paying citizens. Ok, so am I saying we don’t need government?  No of course not.  I believe and I think most would agree the Federal government is operating beyond its limits and I suggest so much so that it’s actually not serving the people as it should.  I’d suggest it is violating in some cases the very laws it has enacted and may very well…
